I miss that fellow even though I wasn't really a fan.
But I think it is fair to say I am more of a fan now because I have heard he was a nice kind man.
Losing John Candy was such a tragedy. I watched his whole career, clear back to the SCTV days. You always heard from every actor how great and how much fun it was to work with Candy. He was that nice of a guy in real life. A few people I know grew up with him in this tiny town in Oklahoma. Went all through school with him. And all said the same thing.
And the story about Montana spotting Candy at the Super Bowl is true.
