Oddly enough,

Although I know very little about football, I was perfectly able to follow all the trades and the many and various reasons that made them plausible, which were carefully spelled out in the movie.

However, many of the people who seem to pride themselves on knowing all about how draft day works, seem outraged or confused about the trades, so I suspect they didn't really pay attention. Maybe they were just expecting a typical sports movie that they could veg-out to, while watching a lot of game play.

In my opinion the script was very well crafted, and the actors did an excellent job. I'm not a sports fan, but I found the film very dramatic and entertaining, with lots of great character interaction.
