Did Jacksonville Want Mack?

Callahan was expected to go #1 but the Browns took Mack. According to Penn everyone else went with their expected picks. So the only guy that wasn't there at #6 who was supposed to be was Mack.

No because Macks agent said that me might get picked 15th by the Texans but other than that he was looking at second round. In all honesty I don't think the jags cared. Sounded like they didn't have a druther.

You're assuming that Jacksonville had a need for all the original 5 guys who were "expected" to go ahead of them, before Sonny went off the rails with the #1 pick. If that were true, then you'd be right that the only one not there was Mack. But it's possible of those players that the Jags only had a need for 3 of them lets say. Assuming all three of those players were still taken, now the Jags have to choose between taking Callahan on the fly without all the information, taking a lesser player and risking the fans' wrath if he turns out to be the next great QB, or pretty much abdicating the decision and accepting Sonny's offer.

No.
Just because the Browns board was going as expected doesn't mean the Jags was.
They said the Rams took their #2 guy.
So, actually, maybe you're right. That would be a nice little thing thrown in by writers to make the move look even better to whoever caught it
