I've known it's a fake show from minute one when I saw it while flipping channels, but it entertained me in the same way pro wrestling does. I know it's fake, of course it's fake, but I still find it funny. It is a good time-killer show. Nothing wrong with that.
Besides, it's better than the Kardashians or American Idol or some other *beep* like that.
Well FUDGE! I just saw this for the first time and I couldn't believe that this team ran into so many crazy incidents, though I could believe thse incidents were true, just not so many at once. Duh, answer:
"Though billed as a reality program, it does not document actual events; the show's producers admit that the program depicts "reenactments of many of the actual confrontations that Howard and his team have experienced", The program does not make it clear until the closing credits that the events depicted are in fact reenactments."
Not sure if I feel stupid, I'm just mad at myself that I didn't come to that logical conclusion myself. It's "real", but hell they could be using a true story about bad tenants from 1967 and just re-enacting it.
I kept goin, "NO! this can't be real" then the police car rolls up, and I get confused a bit... but if it was real, they'd have to have tons of unwatchable footage of boring interactions. It's hard to believe they get better stories than COPS does, considering they are supposed to run into crazy dangerous situations, unlike property management. Though I knew a property manager and he sure had stories, on top of the *beep* I had to report to him.
