Definately the best new Disney Channel original show since Good Luck Charlie premiered.
It's cute, I've always liked Beth Littleford who plays the mom.
Finally G. Hannelius gets her own show on this channel, even though the dog Is the star of the show.
I will say he Is a just a bit cartoony.
The only real negative I noticed Is that when Avery Is upset that Stan ran away, It just seemed laughable...maybe because I'm used to seeing G. Hannelius playing funny parts.
I thought it was good i did not think I would like it because the previews looked dumb. I agree with best since GLC. I don't care the effects the use for the dogs eyes sometimes looks way fake. Also the parents see to over done. But overall pretty good.
I gotta say that, when I saw the previews/commercials, I thought this show was going to be terrible. I watched some of an episode which I assumed was the premiere.
Basically, the dog's everything is very fake. I realize that a talking dog is already fake to begin with but his mouth animations are so bad. If Disney can afford to make a whole based around a talking dog who can type on a keyboard, I think they can make some pretty amazing mouth animations.
Aside from that, I think the writing is pretty cheesy and random. The characters just say random things without any real reason. I'm all for random plots but this show just doesn't seem to have a reason to exist.
I don't know if it was because I was watching the premiere or another episode, but do they ever explain why the dog talks and has a blog? That part of the show just seems unnecessary. Disney has run out of ideas.
I'm not the target demographic at all but I do love Good Luck Charlie and some of the older Disney/Family series. Disney just needs to K.I.S.S.
Agree with Ben Grieve. This show is so dumb. Everything they say is random and the actors don't act like the way they are supposed to. Both the little girls act like they are 10 years older than they are...Aaaahh, get this show off the station.
Well, television has come along way in the 50 years since "Mr. Ed" the talking horse was on the air. At least now they can decently animate animals' mouths. Back then it looked like they just filmed the horse shaking his head and baring his teeth. It looked a little like talking after the voiceover was added. And that show lasted four seasons.
But seriously, how is Stan expected to type accurately with paws that hit three keys at once?
Yeah, I know filankey is not a word, but it's gonna catch on.
