I just saw an add for a new one that said on the finally of dog with a blog
They did not say season so what is going on?

Seemed odd that the August programs promo said only the "finale" of DWAB. Usually DC will refer to a season finale. But given Disney's track record, shows go at least through season two (which according to the reply before mine, is in filming now). In the second season I want the parents to learn that Stan talks.

It is the season one finale, and while they are getting a second one... This show is not doing well in the ratings.
It's consistently last, sometimes being beaten by "Fish Hooks" which is a pretty bad program (even for a cartoon) in its own right. Quality may be subjective, but this isn't the mega-hit Disney thought it would be.
It tries hard to be a family show, but it's just a show mainly for kids at the core. You can tell because of how blatant and hamfisted the life lessons are and how they emphasize them with "emotional scenes" and things of that nature the other shows on Disney (aimed at teens and families) just don't do, or do better and more subtly.
I am an older adult and I found the show lovable. I'm the show's newest fan.
