Stan the dog should sue for custody of the children
that would make a great episode. They could flashback to all of the times the dopey parents forget Chloe and show the numerous times when Stan taught the important life's lessons to the children when the parents were out to lunch. Then in the climatic moment when the family court judge is about to rule in Stan's favor, Stan gets up and gives a speech about how important it is for the family to stay together the way it is today. How he did this so that the parents could realize the treasure that they have and not take it for granted (big awww moment from the audience as Stan actually proves his fitness yet again).
I know you are thinking that Stan's secret would get out but this can be explained away as a shared dream by Ellen and Bennett caused by one of her more pungent dinners. I know, there is no such thing as a shared dream but this is Disney, it's as good an explanation as any. Ellen and Bennett share a laugh at how silly it is to dream about Stan being able to talk (Stan winks into the camera). Ellen even says, if Stan can talk then pigs can fly, she snorts as she says, 'good one Ellen'.
