She's an interesting character; An attractive Salvadoran-American teenage girl who has no idea why boys are throwing themselves at her.
She's been on Disney before in "Shake It Up!" playing the Spanish-speaking girl whom Ty likes, but who has a crush on Deuce, and she was also on "Pair of Kings", too.
Disney seems to be actively pursuing the Latino market since they also have a promo with Bridgit Mendler and another South American Latina (young female performer) currently airing right now as well. It makes sense because this will be their primary audience in the next 10 years according to the Census; Latinos are the largest and fastest growing segment of the American population.
Asians are growing fast, that and you can't ignore Black and Asian kids including mixed race. A large portion of Hispanics are white, so it's not so simple.

It's not her ethnicity that makes her character so appealing. It's the fact that she's gorgeous but has no clue that this is why guys are ready to give her their phone numbers, e-mail addresses, flowers, candy, nominated her as Queens of the Rose Bowl Parade, and so forth.
