Chloe having tons of other Chloe's in her class

Does anyone else ever had that problem or something similar? My name is Courtney and I used to be in a class with a Whitney and Britney and the teacher always mixed our named up.

reply

Yes. My name is Heather and there were three of us in my senior English class back in high school. Fortunately, we all had very different last names.

You got what you wanted but you lost what you had.

reply

Did you belong to a "Heathers" club?

reply

Awesome question about Heathers.

Forgive me for not wanting to say my name on this board, but I have a name that guys and girls have. For instance Blake Michael, Blake Lively. But it has never been a problem for me because I've met more girls with my name and never been in the same class with or even worked with a guy with the same name as myself.

How about this one: My real name is Jim Bacon. Bacon is an unusual last name. On the first day of my second quarter in community college (eons ago) I saw a different student sitting on the electronics lab seat next to mine. (The previous occupant dropped the program.) To my surprise his name also was Jim Bacon. Amazingly, for the rest of the year no one mixed us up. The teacher referred to us as Jim Bacon #1 (me) and Jim Bacon #2 (him).

The only other Jim Bacon I'd heard of at that time was a famous Hollywood entertainment writer.

Yeah, I know filankey is not a word, but it's gonna catch on.

There were loads of Jessicas, Stephanies, and Jennifers in my high school class. Nicole and Melissa were a couple another common ones.

My name is Michelle, and there were three others in the school.

You must have been in school in the 80's decade, when those names were popular.

reply

Nope, actually I was born in the 80s ('87), and graduated high school in '05. But yeah, those were some of the top names for the 80s--especially for babies born during them.

I don't like them very much myself, but I do still prefer them to a lot of the most popular names for the 2000s/2010s.
