Chloe sewing mutilated dead animals together...

Dogs often bring pieces of dead animals as "gifts" to their owners. In the Parrot Trap episode, multiple references are made to the fact that the little girl Chloe apparently likes to sew these pieces of animal carcasses together after Stan brings them. The dad even accidentally eats a hybrid between a squirrel and a snake.

I understand that Disney likes to throw in the gross out humor. But does anyone else find this extremely disturbing?? That's some grim *beep* That's something you see in really twisted horror movies. Horror is my favorite genre of movie but I don't expect to see that stuff on Disney Channel, haha!

Chloe's obvi going to become a serial killer who performs gruesome experiments on humans. Good thing her dad is a child psychologist, he'll fix her. Or he'll be embarrassed and pretend he doesn't notice the warning signs until it's too late, like in Home Movie. In fact, he's already denying it to himself, why haven't they gotten her help yet? She's already sewing dead animals together.

That's pretty common for boys.
My brothers and some of the neighborhood kids had a sort of "bug arena" situation going on for awhile. We would catch different bugs and pit them against each other.

reply

Well of course Gregor Clegane thinks these kinds of things are normal. x]

But generally among the normals it'd be a huge warning sign that hopefully a child psychologist would recognize, even if it's his own kid and he would be inclined to downplay it.

Dude you clearly have a mental problem stop watching kid shows and grow up. Kid shows do stuff like this all the time. You must have been beat up a lot in school. I don't blame them.

reply

LOL, I actually think that's great. xD Yeah, it's unexpected for a kiddie show, but at least those of us who're older and have an appreciation for the morbid and gruesome can get a laugh here or there. Chloe would get on so nicely with Wednesday Addams. :'3 And she demonstrates such curiosity and imagination! ;p This is actually one of the only recent Disney Channel shows I find moderately bearable and occasionally humorous, mostly because of Chloe. She reminds me of myself as a kid, to be honest...and not just because her hair is literally cloned from a strand of mine, or because of her awesome outfits...

That's a good point you bring up, DeusExKatrina. And thumbs up for having seen Home Movie, too. You gotta be pretty eclectic to enjoy both twisted horror movies AND Disney comedies like this.

wow, no way Jonathan I can't believe you could like dog with a blog. I like this show a lot! it's my favorite Disney show which has new episodes on the Disney channel right now. It's such a fun and pleasurable show for me to watch. What do you like about it?

reply

LOL @ meeting you here, Luke!

A friend of mine had told me about this show, and since I like dogs, I just started watching it. It can be a bit hokey at times, but I started watching it because I like dogs.

On these boards here, lots of folks use acronyms to refer to Disney shows. Truth be told, I'm clueless as to what the acronyms mean, except DWAB.

My question is how could Bennett possibly have mistaken this mutilated animal hybrid for something he should eat. That wasn't funny it just made me think wow how dumb are you?

reply

That's disturbing on so many levels. I quit letting my daughter watch because it seems like there's something subliminal with this dog, (really more grown man than dog), hanging out with children and sleeping in their rooms...a perv vibe and Idc for the implication that it's 'normal'.
