I don't agree with the ending.

I think Dog With a Blog should have just ended with Stan losing the ability to talk and not make it fake where he was able to talk all along. Disney needs to learn how to make tragic and unhappy endings. Him still talking is way too easy. I would have found it more realistic if in the end, he couldn't talk anymore and was just a regular dog. There aren't always happy endings.

I liked the ending, but would have been fine with it ending with him losing the ability to talk. I kind of wish the parents had found out a few eps ago so we could have a few eps of them helping to cover up the secret, but oh well.

Agreed.

I agree with the OP that not all shows need a happy ending but this series did better with a happy ending so I am glad with how they ended it. This show has always been about family unity, having Stan become 'normal' would almost be like having one of the kids die of cancer because that happens in real life too.

I wish they went with a final shocker of Robert being able to talk (my personal obsession). It would sort of be a secret within a secret but funny because Stan always talks about Robert as if he is a person. I was very glad that Karl was in the final episode. He was my favorite non-family member character (except for Tyler's hot ex-girlfriend Nikki).

Stan CAN"T become a regular dog, and he knew it. He faked it to fool everyone who was after him.
