Why did They End it?

Only three years and 65 episodes. Were the ratings bad?

The viewership was between 1 million to 1.5 million. The peak this year was around 2.0 million I believe but it didnt last. Disney channel viewership as a whole has been low though. Sadly, in a few years, 1 million views will be the "New high".

This was a great show

Three years and 60-70 episodes are the over under of these shows. If the execs really like it they will keep it another year, if it is not well recieved it will get canceled sooner. But I think in the long term planning three years is what they expect from any DCOS or Nick series as well.

Actually the viewership this year was between 1.4 to 2.2. The lowest it it hit year was 1.4 million and the highest it hit was 2.2 million. It's top 7 highest rated episodes of 2015 were 2.2, 2.1, 2.1, 2.0, 2.0, 2.0, 1.9 million.

The show may have gotten a 4th season, if it's viewership didn't fall in the third season. It was a great show, especially in season 1 for me.

1. The ratings weren't very high.

2. It'a rating on here is low.

Those two combined will cancel a show. Ever wonder why Shake It Up only had 3 seasons?

reply

Shake It Up actually had great ratings though.

"I guess it never hurts to 'shake it up'."

reply

Good point. I guess it was just really disliked.

reply

Disliked by who? Disney?

"I guess it never hurts to 'shake it up'."

reply

No, by the audience. Have you seen the show's score on here?

reply

If it was disliked by the audience, why would they continue to watch it?

"I guess it never hurts to 'shake it up'."

reply

Most people had some sense and never watched it in the first place. It only got views when it was on because people had nothing else to watch.

reply

So people only happened to have nothing else to watch when that particular show was on?

"I guess it never hurts to 'shake it up'."

reply

Most likely. Or they just used the show as background noise for when they were on the computer or something.

reply

Your logic is perplexing.

"I guess it never hurts to 'shake it up'."

reply

How?

reply

That logic reminds me of an old quote I heard years ago,

" Nobody goes there anymore, because it's always too crowded"

Making a dog talk costs a lot of money. It works for films because there's less upkeep for a movie that takes less than a year to shoot too. Also movies like Santa Paws made decent money, all things considered.

If this was about a dysfunctional family minus a talking dog, it gets 4 years. I heard this show coated a lot, on top of that it only had good ratings compared to Nick shows at it's peak. If it was groundbreaking, they would squeezed out a 6-20 episode season four or at least a one hour finale. I loved it but I admit it was OK at best.

It's like the current landscape of NFL Qbs,most aren't Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton or Tom Brady but Jay Cutler and Tony Romo is better than having an unknown rookie or 2nd stringer. If you cut Cutler, you are not guaranteed to find a Brady, you'll be lucky to find another Cutler. I think seeing decent new shows on the horizon made this decision easier. This show was good enough and Ant farm and IDDI early demise shows that this show is possibly better than both. I think anything beyond season 1 was bonus time. And I liked this show if not loved it.

I think Stan killed this show and his pups didn't help much, I would've rather saw a baby even though said in season one they wouldn't do that. Crash and Bernstein was good when you exclude Crash. same thing with Stan
