Does anyone have a good theory for the way ‘reality’/the screen turns glitchy in the end?

Is it meant to remind us that we’re also watching a digital screen, and that we’re voyeurs too, like her? Or is it something else?

reply

Possibly. Spoilers: Or her life is so digital, that it took a psycho murder to connect with (her) humanity / the "real world" finally. The case made her starting to have a friendship with the other girl, also she got rid of the AI assistant or whatnot in the end. The case closed, psycho in prison, the victim girl could finally rest in pieces (sorry), and her only friend seems to be coming to her senses too at the end. Everything is now in rest, therefore the screen turns glitchy -> it's a screensaver effect, same as on her own screen.

Btw, surprisingly good flick. Not for everyone.

Just saw this and was wondering the same.

I was watching on an airplane so it took me a second to realize that was intentional part of the film.
