Did it really only cost $8,000????
I read somewhere that it only cost 7 or 8 thousand dollars to make, is this true?

Actually - that figure that you're quoting - $7-$8 thousand is a little high. I had less money than that to make the film.

Well that's even more impressive! Can I ask how long it took from pre to post? I feel I'm gradually getting closer to making something myself, so films like this really inspire me to get a move on.
Have you heard of a film called THE BATTERY? I'm sure you have, but if you haven't, you should look it up. It cost $6,000, and it proves there's still life in the low-budget Zombie genre, plus it's funny and inventive. It's one of my favourite films of last year.
Thank you for the kind words ;-).
It took us three years (about) from pre to post. That is where money directly effects things IMO - time it takes to get things done. If you can't hire someone - you have to learn all the programs yourself and then apply them. It's a long process doing it that way - but - then again - you either move forward and get something done - or wait and wait and wait for money to fund something - and I come from the mid-west with no connections in Hollywood to fund anything lol - anyway - that waiting for someone to give ya a shot just get's old IMO. I'd much rather just get it done myself and keep moving forward ;-)
I have not seen the movie you spoke of - but we have learned here in the studio - that once you start a process of making a movie - you get a bit inside a bubble and everything going on in the world get's lost for a bit of time.
I will check it out - thank you for the reply.

Well, congratulations on getting it done. It sounds like it was a long hard road, but it was worth it. Best of luck with the sequels. I'll post any other questions I have in the other thread you started. Thanks for the reply.
shareI enjoyed it, good to see it on the horror channel regular here in the UK. if your ever after graphics
/art or photography give me a shout...lve worked on movies like MAY & sci Fi series THE LEXX long time back..., best jordan
Only $8,0000 to make this? Crazy! I think the alien alone must have eaten up a good chunk of that budget for sure. It looked pretty cool. And now knowing the budget for this movie I have to applaud the job they did more.
