Not as good as his previous ones

I have liked this film and one can see the beautiful work and effort put into the stotyline and characters to integrate them into a believable american way of life. I have also appreciated his unique visual fingerprints. However I have to say that somehow something is lacking when I compared this film to the enormous emotional empathy that I felt towards Reprise and Oslo.

what do you guys think?

Same here.
Actually, I think "Oslo" is one of the best movies made in the last ten years, so there were a good chance that his latest wouldn't be of the same level, but it's pretty good nonetheless.

I didn't realise that he also made Reprise, which I really liked. This film didn't fare as well I thought.

If he was going for a fractured dynamic, I think he succeeded a little too well. The film had a very fractured or incomplete feeling to it.

And all the pieces matter (The Wire)
