What happened...he used to be a cheeky, boyish driver but now he's like an old alcoholic with a pot belly....Did something happen to this character? I skipped a few episodes so I was shocked to see him so flabby and ill-looking.

He was looking rather sloppy. His character does have a tendency to drink, that might be the reason.
i think thats the character, when hes a driver he has a uniform and a certain... set of rules he has to act according to. "sid" as a person is a drunk and a not so by the law person.

I know what you mean. I've seen all the episodes but it seemed like suddenly, out of no where, age caught up with the character. (I can't say the actor as I don't recall seeing the actor in anything else.)
