Harry Potter in The Maddest of All

a Danielle Radcliffe clone dressed up in a Wizard's Hat? Really? I loved Mark Williams as Arthur Weasley as well as the next person, but this was badly done.

Oh lighten up,I thought it was a fun little bit:)

It could have been fun, had they had fun with it. Like incorporating a few more oblique Harry Potter references, or inside jokes. Maybe Father Brown saying to the boy: "You remind me of someone..." but as it was, they acted like they were hoping no one would notice. That's why I say it was badly done.

You don't understand dry humor, or perhaps subtlety. That doesn't mean they did it poorly, it just means you don't have that sense of humor. Lots of other people, thought that it was just the right amount of a wink to the Potter films. Incorporating more (like your suggestion, which would have been heavy-handed at best) would have taken the viewers out of the Father Brown story too much. This isn't a sitcom.

I understand dry humor and subtlety just fine. I just think this was awkwardly done. Agree to disagree.

Also did anyone notice that Adrian Rawlins who played James Potter was also in this episode?

reply

I noticed Adrian Rawlins in the episode, the girl who played Cho Chang also appeared in a different episode.
