'90s?.....NO

These kind of movies didn't start getting popular til early-mid 2000s.

Yeah, Eddie Murphy had the "Professor" movies but those were late 90s-early 2000s.

You misunderstood me, I didnt mean dressing up like a woman. I meant fish(s) out of water have to go in to witness protection. See (For richer or poorer, sister act ect ect...

The most recent movie I can think of with that fish-out-of-water premise was The Fighting Temptations with Cuba Gooding Jr. about a big-city executive going back to his Southern roots trying to blend in with the townsfolk
