Really funny
Ignore the the ratings most of them are from bigots or people who haven't seen the movie.
The last Madea film I saw was Madea's Family Reunion so I was worried I would need to see the one before it to understand it but I didn't. It was a completely stand alone storyline.
Eugene Levy was good, I mean acting wise. I was kind of shocked actually.
The movie was very funny, both Tyler's Madea character and Eugene Levy's character were the funniest written characters. With Madea and Eugene having the funniest lines and Eugene delivering the lines the funniest.
I thought Doris Roberts was kind of pointless and not that funny. I mean she was fine in a one off joke sense but not as a recurring running gag. She was actually kind of annoying.
Denise Richards was ok, I haven't really seen anything she's been in before so I can't compare her acting performances.
I think Madea's Family Reunion had better story development with relationships and family. This one was pure comedy 100%, the family aspect of it was very light and not very well played out imo.
Most of the jokes I understood, I mean I'm white but I still got all the references. Most of the jokes were jokes anyone could understand, a lot of the jokes were about how different our cultures are, think Everybody Hates Chris. I mean I wouldn't take little kids to see it. It did have some dirty jokes. Not innuendos, they were definitely flat out understandable by anyone.
The only thing I would have changed was that I think there should have been a scene where Romeo's Jake character tells John Amos' Pastor Nelson character about the money. I mean after all was said and done. His storyline kind of disappeared toward the end of the film. I loved the church scene with Eugene Levy though so I wouldn't change that scene because I didn't want Jake to be embarrassed in front of everyone, just a small scene after the outcome with just Pastor Nelson because you can tell there was a strong relationship there. And telling him the truth would have finished hiss storyline imo.
