Stuff that happens in every Tyler Perry film

A woman is suffering from some issue - abuse, marriage problems, prostitution. This is the dramatic set piece for the movie.

Madea (and Joe, and Brian, and whoever/whatever else Tyler Perry does and plays) is the comedic set piece.

There's always a back-sassing teenager (usually a girl) that Madea usually has to set straight.

There is always a musical montage indicating the passage of time.

Everything is always solved quickly and happily ever after by the end of the film, whether it be getting clean from drugs, or a marriage, or a prison release.

Why do people always seem to be naked when they fall on a cactus?

Well apparently "Witness Protection" broke that trend

1. The movie is 100% Comedy throughout (No Melodrama with a comedic scene here and there)

2. Madea actually does something crucial to the plot

You're forgetting the church scene at the end. I loved TP's earlier work. I've seen all of his movies. I have to say that this one is my least favorite. Loved "The Family that Preys", "Diary of a Mad Black Woman", "Why did I get Married?", etc...
