The new Ernest

- Why is anyone paying full price for these movies when you could easily save yourself $10.00 and go rent Ernest goes to camp, school, scared stupid or fill in the blank. They are the exact same thing.
- Now I know people like seeing the same thing over and over but people please realize your watching an atrocious sitcom that is simply put on the silver screen. This is nothing more than "Meet the Browns" comedy. Tyler Perrys entire career has as much of creativity and ingenuity as Kim Kardashian. All of the Madea movies and Browns episodes play on the exact same formula. Insert black stereotype, insert white stereotype and go over the top.
- There so many more comedians that actually have a craft and talent. Chappelle, Rock, Hart, Williams, Lawrence and I'm not even going to go into the top stand up ones. Stop paying for Tyler Perry.

While I know very little about this guy, I have to agree with you. "Madea" comes off as completely pathetic, and there are a few people in the industry that you simply can't understand why they are not begging in a streetcorner instead of making movies.
Watching the trailer for this one is offensive to me, not because of stereotypes or anything like that, but it insults my intelligence. Absolutely nothing this guy has done has made me smile, all it does is irritate me beyond words.

I agree 100% with stardust67 and masztaar......only seen two films of his and now this one.....none were no count...only give them a chance cause someone else was in the film that i wanted to see thier or his performance.....to me Tyler seems to try to take Jim Varney charactoristics (can't spell) anyway and he try to be as good as it as Eddie Murphy......no were near JIM or Eddie performances.....he needs to quit!

The quality of Meet the Browns is not the same as the quality as his movies. The movies have a storyline, whereas the series does not. I don't bother with the series, but the movies are fairly made. From the teaser of this movie, which I saw with Think Like a Man, it looks as good as his other works!

lol, Ernest. I think he likes putting on the grandma fat suit just a little to much. It actually creeps me a bit.

Tyler Perry meeting with producers would go like this. Tyler: "Got another Madea movie idea!"

reply

"it looks as good as his others works!" - so, absolute trash?

Ernest movies are aimed at younger audiences, and a lot of kids, including myself, grew up with them. What parent in their right mind would allow their child to grow up watching some cross dresser play make believe for an hour and a half?

I'd love to see Madea Scared Stupid where she fights a troll on Halloween.

Haha, I'd love to see Madea Scared Stupid, too. I can also imagine a movie in which Madea gets magic shoes that help her play basketball.

Stardust - what you said was brilliant, because I was going to post the exact same thing.
Yep, if one wants to know what the next "Madea Movie" is going to be, just go look in the "Ernest" bins (Pauly Shore works as well!).

Hey man, lay off of Ernest. I used to watch those when I was little. Don't put him in the same boat as this weirdo.
