In theory once a singularity is created its growth is exponential. It will rapidly out pace us and leavening no choice but to be the last great invention by humans.

I'm not sure. But, I will say this. We as are light years away from that type of Super AI, mostly because of how scarcely (can't stress that word enough) we understand how the human brain works.
