What version did I watch?

I just watched the movie and it started with a scene in the future with all technology already destroyed that no one else seems to remember or mention.

I just watched it on demand and it had that scene. They propped the door open with the keyboard like at the end, and it was the British guy talking.

Are you in the US? I'm just wondering if you and I watched a foreign version cause I don't see it mentioned in the plot synopsis on wikipedia which 99% of the time is scene for scene.

Yes I am in the US. I just happened to see it on demand and watched it. I think some tv versions can be slightly different from the movie. Aliens had some extra scenes when it was on cbs the first time. It's the only time I have seen the movie so idk how rare the opening I saw was. But it's the only opening I know lol.
