About the pacing of the film, and also the dialogue

Does anyone else feel that the pacing of the film is a little off? I've seen the film three times and each time I felt there was something about the pacing, or maybe just the film's construction, that bothered me. To me it doesn't feel as well-paced and well-constructed as Before Sunset.

Also, did anyone think to themselves that some of the dialogue at times repeated things already said in Sunrise and Sunset? And that some of the topics of conversation weren't as interesting as in Sunrise and Sunset? I felt that parts of the conversation at the table with the others felt a little trite, like I'd already heard it elsewhere.

The structure of "Midnight" has more clearly defined act breaks than the first two. With the dinner middle section being very clearly separate from the hotel section in the end. The first two movies feel more like we are in a constant flow. Not neccesarily worse or better, but you are right that the structure feels different here. I think the repetition in topics are very intentional.

Yes I agree. I love the first 2 movies so was excited to see this but it left me disappointed.

It lingers too long in each location. I thought the car ride in the beginning would never end.

I'd love to see a cut with some of the scenes shortened with some of the unused scenes thrown in.
