This song is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard! I loved the movie and I am so glad it introduced me to this song! Kind of a pointless post, really just wanted to say how amazing the song is. :)

Yeah I've been a huge fan of Elliott's for years. Sadly he's gone. If you don't already know of him Conor Oberst's band Bright Eyes is also great. The cd Rusty's girlfriend gives him is Fevers & Mirrors. It's not in the film or anything but you might also like Ben Cooper's bands Electric President and Radical Face.

And OP, Between the Bars is definitely brilliant. I was actually going to use it in a book I'm writing, and when I found out this movie used it I was a bit miffed, haha, but also pleasantly surprised. If it exposes more people to that song, hey, it's a good thing.
