great time!

It was like a B-movie trifecta of Terminator, West World, and Friday the 13th with a little Christmas mixed in! Good dialog! They won me over when they started talking about how bands start to suck when cut their hair. I like how they went from completely drunk to completely stone sober. I had a really fun time! Ho Ho Ho!

I thought the dialog was horrible and didn't ad to the story. Not one likable character in the whole movie. Awful all around. 2/10

I found the bickering banter between the main woman and man to be utterly annoying and unbelievable, and it lasted forever. No one died for the first half of the film. Talking in the music store, then talking in the toy store then talking in the bar. I liked the killing once it started. Overall nothing special. 5/10,

Probably my least favourite Joe Begos film so far. He won't top Bliss.

reply

Agreed! And unlike some, I quite enjoyed the character interactions and inane banter. It rang true for a certain segment of the population. However, I can see this as having a somewhat niche audience, and not being for everyone.

Clearly you're a crew member. No normal human being would ever speak about this horrendous dialog in the positive sense.

reply

That's some top-notch, sound, deductive reasoning there. "You liked the banter? Crew member!" And define "normal".

You ned me to define normal to you? To speak in the language of this film, the fuckity fuck fuck fuck of the fuckity fuck fuck fuck, fucking fucked the fuck fuck fuck of the fucking fuck fuck. Awesome dialog.

reply

Yeah it was over the top. But if by "dialogue" you're specifically referring to the frequent f-bombs, those are words within the dialogue. When you said "dialogue" I assumed you meant the overall content, meaning, manner of speaking, the way they interacted with each other. I can't blame you if you found that annoying or unlikeable, but I didn't mind it, and I've known people like that so it felt true to character for me, i.e. "normal" within the context of a particular crowd of people.

I might add that claiming someone isn't "normal" because they enjoyed dialogue you didn't is, well... a compliment! Anyone striving to be "normal" isn't challenging themselves, and typically indicates mediocrity and close-mindedness, i.e. a worldview that is constrained and limited by programming, nestled deep into a perceived safety bubble of thought.

I thought it sucked and was not a good time at all.
