Typical revenge fantasy but with bad writing

This is a revenge fantasy directed at women who have been cheated on and fantasize about revenge. It's a comedy, so we aren't supposed to take it too seriously. But it misses the mark becuse of a lot of sloppih writing. For example;

1 - the third woman instantly becomes friends with the other 2 and seamlessly cancels her weekend with the man without him even noticing. This made zero sense and was sloppy and contrived

2 - the wife starts drugging/poisoning the husband with hormones, etc. This is a dark and troubling angle, and at first seems like an opportunity for her to back off and say "this isn't worth it" and become more mature about the breakup, but that never happens. She keeps drugging him until they break up without any ramifications. It had such a weird plot point and timing

3 - the wife was really dumb the whole movie, taking about going to brain camp, etc. Then, a light bulb goes off and suddenly she is a brilliant ceo,very successful, etc. Lazy writing, instead of showing a gradual development etc it was instant fantasy

Several other things didn't work either - Diaz is basically a woman who sleeps with the entire town, but she draws the line at married men. Wouldn't it have Been better to make her a little less promiscuous so her outrage would be more sympathetic?

The entire movie was poorly conceived. Had a decent cast and shoudk have been significantly better

I disagree, with all do respect. She wasn't promiscuous, she was just a woman that had a lot of unsuccessful relationships who she happened to have sex with. Like she said to his wife in the bar "we're adults, we had sex." There's nothing wrong with having sex with all the men you date in your life. As long as you're responsible about it and clean, then there's no big deal, imo. People like to have sex, that doesn't make you promiscuous. People really need to stop judging women for their amount of partners. Men can sleep with any woman they want and no one bats an eye.

Of course she would draw the line with married men. He's MARRIED. All the other men she had sex with were single or in a relationship with only her. She only had sex with him because she didn't know. Like she said, she's not a home wrecker.

In the real world men are judged by how many partners they have. Men who are into one night stands are looked down upon by the majority of people.

even James bond is seen as not serious relarionship material by most film goers, and the portion of the population that worships him only does so because he attracts unobtainable women, not because he sleeps around with anyone he sees.

The trouble is celebrities (athletes, rock stars and bad boy actors) are almost expected to have 1000 plus partners.

But likening it to Bond - how upset wouod filmgoers be if Bond found out one of his women was married? Not at all. Why? Becusse he sleeps with everyone he is attracted to. I think the same is true in this film. It's fine to make her a woman who enjoys sex with her partners (to co trash her with the wife? But I think thy overdid it and made her less sympathetic

I feel like no one would care because Bond, James Bond (lol), himself wouldn't care if he slept with a married person. He's an international super spy that doesn't care about commitment. So that's why no one would care.

But Cameron Diaz's role in this movie does want to commit to someone. She just hasn't found the right person. I think that's why people would care and she, herself, would care. She wanted him to meet her dad, that's a more serious step in a relationship.
