Where is the snow?
The movie takes place in NYC during the Christmas season. When they go to the lake, the river wasn't frozen, and we didn't see any snow on the ground.

They must have been having a warm spell.
It's almost like this is LA instead of NY.
If it's supposed to take place in 2014, I live in NJ and went to NYC for Xmas, it was very warm, in the low 60's for Xmas eve. I believe December was warm, but not warm enough for lightning and thunderstorms.

Yeah, I was wondering why it looked more like a regular time of year and not very Christmassy. Seems like they just slapped some Christmas lights onto close-up scenes and a few Christmas trees and that was that. Not sure why the movie had to be placed at that time of year.
~After enjoying that movie, I figured I would drop by IMDB to read about its problems.
Even here on the west coast of Sweden (waaaay up in the north :-) we rarely have snowy Christmases.
