Nick Nolte not credited??

I wonder why Nick Nolte is not credited in this movie. He played a small but noticeable role of Uncle Eddie ...

wtf that was nick nolte?!?

He made me say time flies, remembering Nick Nolte from Rich Man, Poor Man.

Nick Nolte originally had a much larger part in the movie. But all his scenes except for the little screen time he gets was edited out. Because he has such little screen time the studio didn't list him the credits. It's a shame too I would have loved to seen more of him in the movie. Stupid Studios always like too F up their movies.

reply

I also would have enjoyed more Nolte.

It was such a nice surprise to see him, he was perfect! I would have liked to have known more about Jimmy's younger days and family, but I guess that wasn't the point of the movie.

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

some gary busey was needed too.

On the back of the Irish DVD Nick Nolte is listed just prior to Bruce McGill.

Nolte was excellent in his small part. Shouldn't have edited him out.

While filming Run All Night, the producers picked an apartment to shoot the Uncle scene. The original actor fell to show up for the shoot. As they were standing in the back alley they saw Nick Nolte passed out in a cardboard box, woke him and asked him if he didn't mind getting cleaned up and play the part of the Uncle for a bottle of whiskey. He agreed but demanded that it only be a small part as he had to return back to his box before dawn.

Nolte asked if he could be uncredited because he thought everyone would know where he truely lived.

kah...kah...kah...funny! You're making this up, eh? I've read that Nick Nolte did have trouble with his lifestyle ... the booze etc. but he still ranked No.71 in the top 100 highest paid actors in the world... he is worth $75M. I just googled it.

Yes, they were making that up, but holy cow Nolte looks rough these days! And most of that money was made quite some time ago.

I always liked Nolte, but he must have been having more "trouble with his lifestyle" that I had thought...

Nolte was born Feb the 8th, 1941.

He's suppose to be pretty smart man, but his issues with drugs and alcohol have hurt his reputation. His estimated net worth of $245 million. He owes his fortune to smart stock investments, substantial property holdings, lucrative endorsement deals with CoverGirl cosmetics. He also owns several restaurants (the “Fat Nolte Burger” chain) in Washington, a Football Team (the “Omaha Angels”), has launched his own brand of Vodka (Pure Wondernolte - US) [Not a smart move for a man with alcohol issues], and is tackling the juniors market with a top-selling perfume (With Love from Nick) and a fashion line called “Nick Nolte Seduction”.

He's a pretty good actor. I recently re-watched 48 Hours and Down and Out in Beverly Hills. Both are still funny even after all these years. The Deep is still my favorite Nolte film though.

You're not even close to being funny

Isn't it cool that in both Warrior and Run All Night Nolte's character is a Conlon? :)

reply

Nick is in the list of cast.

reply

He might be listed on the IMDB page, but he is not credited in the movie itself.

reply

He is in the credits... click on see full cast and you'll see him listed as Eddie Conlon.
