Nicolas Cage is a good actor but this film is terrible!

Its a step up technically from Cages 2010-2020 movies but the story is terrible and foreign Euro actor Joel Kinnaman is very dull in this.
Joel Kinnaman signed on during covid "when there was no work coming in"
Its claimed that Sympathy for the Devil is estimated to be made on a budget of around US $30 - 48 million. That is a blatant lie as the producers are trying to sell to streaming at a high rate.

This looks more like a $5M picture.

It was OK. He was really good in it playing a crazy guy but this film has way too many plot holes. For one thing there is only like 2 cops in the state of Nevada. Also, getting someone out after calling 9-1-1 takes forever and then they just somehow leave the area in a car. Totally stupid. But I've seen worse movies for sure.

I can forgive the long time it took for the police to show up but that guy in the diner looked like he'd be packing heat.

I liked Cage's song and dance to Alicia Bridge's classic I love the nightlife" tune.

And he is right about nobody putting mozerella on a tuna melt!

But yes this is a small simple picture. I hope Cage gets back in a big studio film one day. I miss him in that kind of role.

I thought it was pretty entertaining, a 7/10 from me.
