On Netflix now

I just watched this on Netflix instant - wow! I really liked it - I did not expect it to be as brutal as it got towards the end. I got angry along with the main character, but didn't feel emotionally manipulated - it's a compelling story, and one based on truth (I can't recall the name, but I watched a documentary or an episode of 60 minutes or similar news show on these alternative rehabilitation facilities, and kids have died).

I don't know what my problem was, but I got a little confused by a couple of the characters/back stories (they looked similar to me for some reason) and had to re-watch a few scenes. It may have just been me lol. In any case, if anyone else watches this, let me know what you think!

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

I watched this on NETFLIX streaming last night.
Though the story was very troubling at times, I really liked it. The acting ..... and the character developement were both good.
I was glad to see the EXPLAINATION at the end. I have had no experience and had no knowledge of the inner workings of such facilities. Of course, I knew such places existed...... but the thought of places not having to report anything to anyone .... totally unmonitored ...... is downright scary.

Very upsetting.
but .... GOOD MOVIE.

This was WAY better than I expected. It's almost like a Full Metal Jacket for teenagers scenario, and for such a low budget, they did a fantastic job pulling together a great cast.

There aren't any huge surprises, but it tells a tale that I really enjoyed, especially the gradual loss of control by the director. As he fell into depression and alcohol, his anger took over and the process he truly believed in at the beginning collapsed. By the end of the movie... much like Full Metal Jacket, the kids were exactly what they made them.
