To everyone saying this movie isn't "realistic"

I've been seeing a few people on here saying this movie isn't realistic because these type of camps would never go to that extent of torture and brainwashing...

Well to all of you, I say go watch "Kidnapped for Christ". It's a documentary about camps like these that try to "reform" rebellious youths. They mentally and physically abuse these kids and attempt to hide it. Some kids even die. There are THOUSANDS of them all over the U.S.

To say camps don't go to such extremes like this is naive.

Yeah straight up. People are silly as *beep* if they think this type of stuff doesn't/can't happen

I watched that Kidnapped for Christ doc and almost wished I hadn't afterward.

I didn't like the fact that it made me wish I could torture some of those people.

i believe there are camps like this.I went to a reform camp with just as much brainwashing, but not the physical abuse. We hardly ate and got roughly 4 hours of sleep a night for 6 months. after a while you start to believe everything they say I was only there for 3 months before I got out, but it was rough.

I'm glad you survived it with a lot less abuse. But it's sad that people who have this need to control other people because of personal inadequacies manage to find their way into the lives of children. This could be one of the reasons are children are much more violent and angry that they were when I was a kid. Sometimes parents can be so cold and controlling that they suck the love and life out of their children. Who knows...
