Such A Mean Spirited Movie
This movie should be positive and uplifting especially when it involves teenagers needing help, guidance and leadership. What was the director thinking making this piece of crap of a movie?

shareI think it was a jab at the "prison-for-profit" correctional facilities. It didn't really seem to be about the kids or the "counselors" inasmuch as how such institutions might operate without heavy oversight.

Wow. PC much? That's just silly.
This is a movie, not your interpretation of what a feel-good movie should be. I'm shocked someone who watches movies, especially one as under-the-radar as this, would then say something like "this should be positive and uplifting."
It clearly is not.
You must be one stupid son of a bitch. Why would this be a positive or uplifting movie? While it is a work of fiction, its accurate as to what goes on in thousands of facilities in the US. And what was he thinking? Did you read the last two sentences at the end? He was trying to convey a message. This wasn't just a movie that they made for fun. Use your head.
shareWesley was trolling.

There are real facilities like this all over the place. Any kid can be sent there for any reason the parents deem fit and a lot of abuse takes place in some of them (severe beatings, rapes, injuries, solitary confinement, etc). This movie sheds a light on what goes on in some places, as they aren't regulated.

it should have been a musical and they could have used that torture shed to put on plays
