Why is Emily Bett Rickards leaving?

One shortened, 10 episode season left, and she leaves before it? What's up with that? Even if she was over the show, you'd think she wouldn't mind working just a few months for the show that's been her entire career pretty much. My only guess is she doesnt want to work for a show that's ending, and doesnt want to spend any time on it.

And this isn't a comment on how good or bad her character is, so whether you're a blind little obsessed fangirl or a rabid angry hater, why don't you just refrain from saying so.

Honestly it's a slap in the face to any fans of the show. She has been a major character since day 1 and to leave right before a shortened final season is terrible. I know this show has been on a downward trend for many seasons, but considering her character, she should have given the fans and staff of the show the respect to see it through to the end. Heck it is only like 10 more episodes.

She got an offer to perform on Broadway in role she originated. Can't work both coasts at the same time.

I guess she's financially secure.
