I didn't read reviews, but knowing it was more of a paranormal story not like Heavy Rain I was a bit wary at first, which is why I hired instead of bought. But I should've known Quantic Dream knew what they were doing and Heavy Rain was no fluke. It turned out to be really good! Not as good as Heavy Rain maybe but pretty close in the end.

To be fair to some of the reviewers I remember playing Beyond Two Souls on the PS3 when it was first released and being a bit underwhelmed by it. It wasn't until I bought Beyond on the PS4 that I truly appreciated the game. I remember it looking pretty bland on the PS3. The PS4 really brings out the graphics, looks almost photo realistic in some scenes.
