Sandler and his family moved from LA to Massachusetts. Why did all his friends move with him, to the exact same town, to the exact same street it seems? Why? Well, because the screenplay required it, that's why.

Also, the movie's hilariously out of touch. Yeah, all college students in 2013 were dancing to Teach Me How To Dougie.
