Was Season 2 written by a bunch of horned up creepers?

I've just started watching this show now in 2022, and so far so good, I'm liking it a lot.

But wow, I'm 5 episodes into Season 2, and we've had all kinds of sex fetishes, dominatrixes, porn videos, and sex abuse.......what kind of sh!t were these writers into??

I don't know, but it has taken me three years to get to season 5, and they toned it down. Season 5 started off shit, but gets better in the later episodes.

We've had no new Holmes material that I know of in years so maybe I'll finally finish watching this series during this dry spell.
