So he says he loves her but walks it back. Perhaps the latter scene was added in when they found out they were renewed.

shareHe loves her like a sister or daughter. Not romantically.
shareI just watched the sixth season finale, and it looks like there will be a seventh season in 2019. Sooooo...... will it take place in London where Sherlock and Watson moved?
shareThe showrunners already had the word from CBS that this remarkably successful AND PROFITABLE series was renewed for a final season of 13 episodes. Bravo. Love takes many forms, few of them romantic, but all of them (emotionally) intimate. Very often the physical form is FAR less intimate than the other forms. One of Elementary’s triumphs is the real love between the two colleagues, and that Miller, in particular, sells that chaste but tender and enduring love so convincingly. Joan has literally saved his life, and equaled him as his student. He HAS to love her.
I want to say something personal. Although I am not happy how MovieChat has developed as a site, losing many good posters and often descending into illogic, triviality, boorishness and outright stupidity, I have always found the Elementary discussion to be an oasis. Thank you all.
