Very Entertaining

Rivals is the most fun and entertaining show I've watched in quite a while. I've gone through it twice now, and I may start a third round. It's well-written, and the fact it's adapted from a 1980s novel could be a reason for the quality.

It's set in the serene and picturesque Cotswolds in the 1980s which is kind of ironic when considering the evil and debauchery occurring all over the countryside. It incorporates 80s music and fashion well although I do take issue with some of Cameron's outfits and shoes as looking too modern. I don't recall ever seeing bootie heels in the 1980s. Somebody in this show needs to be wearing some jelly shoes for authenticity! The cinematography is boldly and brightly colored to match the audacity of the characters and plot lines and maybe the flamboyance of the 80s.

Fair warning -- It has an MA rating for good reason. Let me just say this isn't made by your mother's and father's Disney!
