Kind of surprising to see a progressive company such as Disney being behind something like this.

They have race-swapped Cameron Cook to black. I suppose it's a fairly restrained effort.

It's like a throwback to the old "token" representation era. Not sure how this got approved for Disney+ though!

It's set in the English countryside in the 1980s what were you expecting?

Yes but it was made now, so that would usually mean a more representative cast. When a piece is set is irrelevant to that.
