I must've missed something. Ahmed sends a eagle with a message that's intercepted by Khutulun with info about Kokachin's babies not being of royal blood. So when did Ahmed learn of that.

Are we to assume he guessed? Or maybe that he knew that about Jingim's inability to produce children?

I also questioned this but then remembered that a few epsiodes back, the guard, who was there the night the stable boy was present in Nergui's room, came to Ahmad and gave him the information
