Mei Lin fighting naked

I think that was the point where I became hooked on the show.

reply

yup, I think said out loud," this the greatest thing I have ever seen on TV,ever"

reply

I want to see her and Hundred Eyes fight. She naked, him with clothes on. It would be a good fight.

reply

It is funny how 13-yr-old boys get turned on by a little nudity that is not their momma. Good for you sonny, it apparently made your day.

Nothing wrong with admiring the female form. Hundred Eyes had a nice form.

reply

Yes georgy, but " this the greatest thing I have ever seen on TV,ever" ??

Like I said, the reaction of a 13-yr-old boy.

Yup, those damn whippersnappers with their "interwebz" and their "lulz" and their appreciation of gorgeous naked women! They don't know that in your day, you walked uphill both ways to school, barefoot, in the snow, and if you saw a tittie on TV it was only by fiddling with the cable box reception so you could see half a pixelated breast on an adult channel you didn't subscribe to.

The nerve of those young fools to appreciate an exceptionally well-choreographed fight scene featuring a naked woman! They must all be 13 years old!

It makes sense they'd get turned on since she has the body of a thirteen-year-old girl.

reply

Definitely a great scene. 

One of the few scenes with nudity which did not appear random but actually served the characterisation. Then again perhaps I just liked the ironic touch...

reply

Really? Because this was the point where I asked myself "WTF? Seriously?"

Nothing wrong with nudity. Some of my favorite shows feature their fair share of TNA but mixing Kung Fu sword fighting with it? Clear shock value at its finest.

reply

When she fought naked, I kept thinking to myself she is literally the Naked Weapon...

Stupid people do exist and they mainly live on the imdb boards!

reply

Yeah, I said "oh, so it's going to be this kind of show?" then. And then it wasn't really, but sometimes it was.

Death to shakeycam directors!

The show has plenty of "WTF is this crap" moments. In fact, there are too many to name.

I wonder if the writers actually thought it through as they were writing the script. Let's make it a semi-history and a semi-gravity defying kung fu epic.

For me, the biggest laugh out loud moment was when the cricket minister (Who just so happens to be a skilled Kung Fu fighter on top of his strategist abilities) killed his best soldier over a trivial remark.

Even under the most unrealistic and over the top script, there is no possible way anyone can be THAT STUPID. Why would anyone going to war against a seemingly unbeatable foe murder his own soldiers, let alone his best fighting one? Even the most twisted ego-maniac would know better but apparently John Fusco lacks the common sense to think this crap through.

I thought the reason the Cricket Minister killed the best soldier was pretty clear: to protect his position.

People were beginning to mock him behind his back.
Whispers can turn to dissenting voices and then become revolution.
How can you lead an army if your own soldiers think you're a joke?
So you put the fear of god in them! Can you think of a better way than defeating the best warrior? :)

It's a warrior code thing. I'm sure there are countless other examples - mafia, red indians, street gangs, stalin, conan the barbarian, haha

Not gonna lie, seeing a hot Asian woman fighting naked and doing kung fu is an image that will long stay in my mind. Whenever I think of this series that will be the first thing that comes to mind.

reply

It kind of makes sense for him to take out one of his best solders. The solders were losing respect for him and making fun of him behind his back. He shows them all that he is a bad ass and can take down the best of them.

I doubt they would take him for granted again.

LOL I thought the scene was a hoot. Reminded me while driving around a while back I saw a marquee outside a bar that said "Tonight - Naked Karate Girls."

reply

Actually, this is one of those cases where Mei Lin fighting naked had an actual purpose, which was to distract the soldiers she was going to fight. When you're put against multiple and stronger opponents, you would be wise to cease any advantage you can in order to prevail and not get killed.

reply

The moment she disrobed my reaction was, "Daumn, I want to have that body!" followed by, "Is she going to fight naked? But... that's extremely dangerous. What if something gets caught on something?"

It was a beautiful fight. I don't know how many noticed how the camera angles were well choreographed to minimize the exposure of her private body parts. I just couldn't help to think though that no unarmed, un-armoured human being could win a fight against three rough, experienced soldiers. Just a bit too much of a stretch, but beautiful nonetheless.

Nothing against you LaCountess but I love how a lot of people on IMDB use the expression "a bit of a stretch" like they are an expert.

Yes, this is a fantasy fight, but I wouldn't call it a stretch because one person is naked and the other three are armed. Soldiers, experienced or not are not always tough fighters who can hold their own in a fight. Usually they fight in formation, depending on the guys beside them. They are in an unfamiliar setting, at a physical disadvantage plus the martial art Mei Lin was using basically was created to fight armed men unarmed. They are soldiers but they weren't trained for that form of combat.

there was NOTHING amazing about her body. No ass and tits that barely even fill an A cup bra. f_ck outa here with that sh_t.
