Prince Jingim's character between S1/S2

Did I miss something or forget something that happened in the last few eps. of S1? He spent all of S1 sulking around like a spoiled kid, moping about the military defeat he had, being jealous and hateful of Polo, etc., and then in S2 he's like a completely different person. What happened?

Polo won Jingim's respect by not giving up, by drawing up plans for those massive long-range trebuchets, and by overseeing their construction and deployment, which led to Kublai's victory over Jia Sidao's forces.

Also, it was Marco himself who confronted Jia Sidao and put his own life at risk. (If not for Hundred Eyes, Marco would've died trying to capture Sidao.)

At the end of S1, Jingim congratulates Marco, hugs him, and calls him brother.

Overall, I think Jingim just became more mature and he came to accept Marco not only as a true and loyal servant of the Khan, but also as a friend.

Ok, ty. I actually watched S1 again over the last several days instead of finishing S2 in order to refresh my memory (stupid year between seasons for some shows, I swear) but fell asleep during the last two eps.

Character rewrite... make him more sympathetic and likeable... he was very NOT sympathetic/likeable in S1.. simple as that.
