Character assassination in the pilot

Kind of kills the character for me when the main character, who is a cop, is held captive not once but twice. Of course, she needs men to save her.

Yes and the hysteria didn't help either.

Nor does shooting an unarmed, wounded suspect several times in the front when he's lying on the floor. Been a long time since I've been a cop, but difficult to finesse yourself out of that one.

reply

I know. It's one thing to make a tortured character. But they've made her downright unlikeable and unsympathetic. And Schaeffer, the second lead, is unrelateable.

A recipe for failure.

She appears incompetent and dramatic.

Its like they can't create a female character who is complex without making her a mess.

And then, omg, she let CHEESE DAD take her from behind! Totally ruined watching any show with a vagina in it, ever again.

My porn choices will suck now. Literally.
