I'm starting to get sick off all the things these Americans try to copy. The Scandinavian series was so good, no way that America can replicate that! I just love the language, the environment, the darkness in the series, ... Why oh why do Americans always have to **** up a good thing ??? They do so with all the rest in the world !

well this is the only way many of us Americans would hear about the Danish one at all, it sucks but any exposure is good exposure and I'm pretty sure this one doesn't taint the original in any way if you're a sensible adult.

Remakes aren't such a bad thing if done properly. Viewers who like them will try out the original and find out for themselves which is better. The only downside is that, if I'm not mistaken, subtitled shows aren't that popular in the US.
