they aren't saying 'SERIES Finale', the are saying 'SEASON finale'????

Yeah, I saw that, too. I think it is really lousy of them to do that, as I don't think the show is coming back. This may be cynical, but I think they know that the next episode is going to end on a cliffhanger, and the case with her step-father won't be resolved, so if they pretend it isn't the last episode ever then people who don't keep up with these things online won't be as pissed off. If they promote an episode as a "series finale" and then don't wrap up the story, they will get way more complaints from viewers.

I hope I'm wrong! This series is far from perfect, but I'm enjoying it and would love to see it at the very least given a proper ending!

No they do that all the time. Possibly because they think if they put series; people won't care and the ratings will be lower. It's probably for another reason though. Show is cancelled. Too bad, it was good.

They could just bring back Chloe.
