Any former IMDB posters here?

Great news! It's what I was expecting, but good to hear it from those who've already seen it.

I know what you mean about being eager for and dreading the finale, although I don't think they're going to follow the ending of the original film, any more than they have the rest of the show. I'm dreading the ending because it'll mean the end of the show and I kind of don't want it to end, but on the other hand, I love that they've planned out the whole show, from beginning to end, because that raises the quality.

I'm from IMDb but I haven't watched the show regularly since Season 2 just episodes here and there and the last few of Season 4. But so far I've been watching all of Season 5 when it airs so far and it's been pretty awesome so far. I wish Dylan and Emma would be a little more involved in the season as I believe they've only been in the premiere however I'm sure as the season progresses they'll take a larger role in the story.

Yay! I admit I was a little afraid of how Mother was going to play, now that Norma's dead. I *loved* Norma, but found Mother to be, well, considerably less interesting. But after last season ended, the showrunners said they were going to flesh Mother out (ugh, no pun intended) and give her more dimensions. I'm very happy to hear they're doing a good job of it.

If you're looking for an active board specifically about Bates Motel, I remember the most avid regulars on the IMDB board talking about creating a board specifically for that, although I don't recall the URL. It may be on this board, now that Jim has imported many of the old threads and posts here. I haven't looked, but you may find it if you look at the older threads.

Personally, I don't want to go to a bunch of boards dedicated to any specific show or film. I'm hoping this one will, at least eventually, and specifically as this wonderful show airs, become active and interesting.

Although I haven't yet been able to view the current (and last) season, I agree that it's all very tragic. Not only is Norman's story sad and tragic, so is Norma and Caleb's. And so it goes, as a famous author often said.
