Review and a Question
I can't get enough of these three great films - 'A Fistful of Dollars' (1964), 'For a Few Dollars More' (1965) and 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly' (1966)! And I'm pleased to say they were really paying attention learning from each other to make them greater and greater. It's obvious they took a good look at what worked in the first film when making the second reusing some of the cast including bringing back the main bad guy Volonte, plus introducing a new character Van Cleef into the mix. They picked up on the music too and elaborated a more pronounced signature whistled tune that stuck with us all plus emphasizing on the little notes and sounds that referenced each particular character (jaw harp for Van Cleef, etc.) Then the third movie came forward with even more of a bang and was a lot longer (as if we could ever get enough)! I've again spotted some of the same familiar faces and of course themes from the previous 2 films with a couple of beautiful new additions from the soldiers. Words aren't enough for these magnificent films.
But as many times as I've watched 'For a Few Dollars More', I must keep missing this answer and don't seem to be able to locate it on-line so here it is:
At the end, why does Clint Eastood and Lee Van Cleef have {the same watch with the same picture??} as Volonte?
Also, does anyone think the woman in the watch looks a lot like Audrey Dalton? I must be mistaken and I've never located any proof to support this.
