The best cinematic and charachter-develop-y part
At the beginning, Grace offers cookies to the wife whose name does not matter to me. The part I speak of lasts just some milliseconds and there is no focus (close up) to it, reason to which it is the best part of the movie (which doesn't have a lot of them). They talk about the Purge night and the wife tries to get the cookies, but Grace still holds them and doesn't let her. That is how you can know she hates her even before she says "it's almost like we payed for your house" or similar.
The shot didn't get my full attention but I did notice. The fact it is not mentioned nor anything makes it for great filmmaking. The rest of the movie, sadly, does not.
That's it, just wanted to share my opinion. Interesting concept, but the writing was poor at action scenes and all that. I recommend watching Rick and Morty's "Look who's purging now" which is some sort of parody of it, they are the reason I watched the movie and the reason I plan on watching the other one available at Netflix.
