Rectify-champion of the silent 'Room Elephant'.

I can't say I noticed it as much in season previous to this but now I do. I not only now see clearly all of the not so hidden nor silent proverbial "Elephants in the room" seemingly present in every scene of the show this season. It seems that every character in the show is determined to out said elephants at all costs as well. Rectify has become the show where nothing goes unspoken. There are simply no scenes that are just vehicles of time wasting our scene setting. It is the official show of nothing going unsaid, undisclosed or otherwise dealt with. Everyone is putting EVERYTHING on the table in EVERY scene. It's amazing to watch and more than a little both emotionally draining and cathartic at the same time. I recently said to myself I was going to be the person in everyone I communicate with lives that looked that elephant in eye every chance I got and dragged it into the middle of room to be examined fully by us conversants. After seeing how I think it would really look. Nevermind!
